Our Story
At Cookies & Clean Housekeeping, we believe a clean home isn’t about perfection—it’s about peace.
For what felt like forever, I knew exactly what it felt like to be overwhelmed by clutter. I’d look around and want a clean, organized home, but the thought of tackling everything at once felt impossible. Like so many people, I thought every item needed a perfect solution: sell it, donate it, organize it… and before long, the decisions became just as overwhelming as the mess itself.
Then I realized something that changed everything:
Sometimes it’s okay to simply throw things away.
Of course, donating is wonderful. Selling items that still have value is great too. Whenever possible, we encourage sustainable, earth-conscious ways to part with things you no longer need. But sometimes, the kindest thing you can do for yourself is let go. Making those decisions is often the very first step toward creating a home that feels lighter, calmer, and easier to enjoy.
That’s why Cookies & Clean Housekeeping is about so much more than cleaning. We’re here to help you sort through the overwhelm. Whether it’s deciding what can be donated, what might be worth selling, or what should be responsibly recycled or discarded, we’ll help you make a plan and take the next step. We even offer decluttering support, donation assistance, and proper disposal of trash and recyclable materials, so you don’t have to figure it all out alone.
So where do the cookies come in?
I’ve always had a sweet tooth and nothing satisfies my craving quite like a chocolate chip cookie. Have you ever wondered why fresh baked cookies are harder to come by than ice cream? I have. So began a tradition of my daughter and I baking cookies for Santa. The mess created from that venture was shocking. The cleaning that took place was extensive. At least we had a sweet treat to lessen the blow of cleaning. That tradition became the inspiration behind our name. And we LOVE cookies and cream ice cream of course.
Anyway——
Sometimes life gets a little messy. Sometimes making something wonderful means creating a little chaos first. But with the right help, every mess can become something warm, welcoming, and worth coming home to.
